A BIT ABOUT ME
Ever since watching Kirk Douglas throwing axes and generally creating mayhem in the 60s film, 'The Vikings' I've been a fan of the period.

The more research I did, the more I came to understand there was a much greater depth to Viking society than just raiding and gathering plunder. The Havamal code of conduct for living a good life, the strength of loyalty and a given oath, are such examples. That they were farmers, metal smiths and of course, fantastic ship builders is often overlooked.

Although my writing journey has taken me initially through SF, horror, action/crime, middle grade fiction and the opportunity to poke my toe in the BBC writer-recruitment door, before it was slammed shut, I've returned to the Vikings. This is where my storytelling belongs. I've even recently joined a Viking re-enactment and living history society! As a low-status freeman of course, until I prove my worth. Perhaps progress along that journey is for a newsletter, maybe?

Anyway, thanks for reading this far and I hope you enjoy the free first chapters, if you choose to select, and even my first novel which will be available in a few months.

Finn.
